Title: Can You Use A Credit Card At An ATM With a Low Credit Limit?
Post by: AccountsEra0 on Aug 19, 2026, 10:43 AM
I'm researching Can You Use A Credit Card At An ATM (https://www.accountsera.com/can-you-use-a-credit-card-at-an-atm/) when the card has a relatively small available credit limit. I learned that credit cards may have a separate cash advance limit, meaning the amount available for ATM withdrawals can be significantly lower than the overall credit limit. If a cardholder has already used much of the available credit, an ATM withdrawal may be declined. Has anyone encountered a situation where their regular credit limit was available but their cash advance limit prevented an ATM withdrawal? I'd like to understand how issuers determine these limits.
