Leaving my car sitting for two months, anything I should do before driving it again?


I'm going to be out of the country for about eight weeks and my GTI is staying behind. It's a DSG so I'm a bit paranoid about anything happening while it's just sitting there. A friend said I should disconnect the battery and maybe overinflate the tyres slightly, but he's not exactly an expert. I also wondered if there's anything specific to these gearboxes that suffers from long periods of not being driven, like seals drying out or adaptations drifting. Has anyone left their VW sitting for a couple of months and did it drive normally afterwards or were there any surprises?
